I am so inspired by Scott Allen Bunn to be the best stewart of earth I can with the time I have on this beautiful earth. As a tantric yogi, I honor the body vessel as a temple and similarly have the same respect for our planet and all sentient beings on the path. While encouraging my daughters to be mindful, it’s difficult to instill this awareness in them without some innate rebellion on their part. We were blessed to stay with the 71solutions team family and loved the way little wooden signs were posted all over ... such as above

the trash saying “remember everything here goes in the landfill” and all the recycling labeled as such, by the light switches reminders to turn off when not in use, my favorite was above the kitchen sink “do me when I’m dirty~the dishes”. So, this inspiration as a daily awareness of habit inspired...and this is the practice of yoga...creating good habits body mind spirit in harmony with nature. Anyone have any ideas on how to encourage our youth to develop good eco-habits!??
Thank you for sharing Phaedra! Depends on their age I suppose, but in general, I think that it helps to have other kids a similar age who inspire each other. Once one of them gets into it just a little bit, momentum begins and things really seem to take off. I haven't worked with too many teens though, and knowing who I was as a teen, I feel as if this might be the most difficult age.
